Year Three participated in a Viking workshop on Monday 12th July. A specialist teacher visited to deliver the workshop based on their history topic, Vikings. The children studied artefacts, took part in Viking games and even re-enacted rowing their own Viking longboats into battle! The specialist teacher, dressed as a Viking farmer, informed the children about the Viking lifestyle, weaponry, beliefs, laws and hierarchy using key vocabulary throughout. The children thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon and learnt lots of new facts and information from this learning experience.
