Today, Thursday 7th February 2019, was a great day for Year 6 at St Thomas’s as we extended our hand of love, friendship and faith with our linked school of St Anthony’s High School in Pakistan. Our wonderful ambassadors spoke confidently and maturely to pupils, staff and the school principal about education – both here and there – allowing us to have an insight into similarities and differences, but ultimately; to embrace this global link which shows how much we care. One 13 year old student talked with Mr Roscoe about his ambition to become a neurosurgeon and explained how this would entail an incision in the brain whilst working on the spinal cord. Truly inspiring.
After talking with the principal, Mr Maxwell Shanti, we learnt he has been the Leader of the St Anthony’s for 29 years and a head teacher for over 40 years. We are blessed to have found one another and very much look forward to taking our school’s friendship further.
