Two-Year-Old Nursery 2024 - 2025
Mrs Jeffers
Two Year Old Nursery Lead
Welcome to our little nursery, designed to support the specific needs and interests of children aged two and three years. We believe children learn best through play and hands on discovery therefore provide a wide variety of stimulating activities both inside and out. These can include small world play, sensory mark making, digging, water play, construction, parachute games and the ever popular creating sounds with pots & pans.
Our planning is informed by children’s interests and supports all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, especially the prime areas of physical development, communication & language and personal, social and emotional development which are vitally important for children’s future success.
We plan weekly forest fun sessions which allow children to build confidence, develop skills and learn through nature. These sessions promote personal growth and relationship skills as children learn to problem solve, adapt and work together to achieve goals such as rescuing a toy animal from a tree or making a stick house.
The little nursery is open between 9am and 12pm each morning and 12.30pm to 3.30pm each afternoon offering both paid and funded places. Children can attend between two and five sessions a week according to each family’s needs. We greatly value family involvement and are available each day if you wish to talk.
Remember the most important things to bring to nursery are wellies and a smile!
