Year 3 at the Catalyst Museum
Today, Year 3 attended the Catalyst Science Museum in Runcorn for an amazing introduction to our new Science topic. The children took part in a variety of experiments including: organising and categorising rocks, making mini-volcanos, replica fossils and investigating materials used in buildings. The children asked many questions to challenge their own learning and of the catalyst staff. In the afternoon, they explored the discovery centre and practised their electrical circuits knowledge, physics, chemistry and human body facts on a range of equipment, such as: thermal cameras, circuit boards, wind tubes, turning tables and interactive microscopes. A fantastic day with lots of memories made and questions to investigate.
